Procurio was founded by Robert Lutz and Max Wirz – two practitioners who know public procurement from both sides.
Robert Lutz served as Head of Procurement at Swissgrid, leading strategic procurement within one of Switzerland's most critical infrastructure organisations. Through his consultancy Lutz-Consulting GmbH, he has since guided numerous public and private organisations in building and professionalising their procurement functions – from category strategies and procurement governance to process design and optimisation. A recurring pattern emerged: clients struggled to absorb demand peaks, collaboration with external providers was coordination-intensive and difficult to plan in terms of cost. The desire to not merely develop strategies but to operationalise them on a lasting basis grew ever stronger. Procurio is the answer to that.
Max Wirz, as a management consultant, has carried out highly complex IT procurements and digitalised procurement processes. As a founder, he built Fairwalter – a leading Swiss ERP solution for property management – and successfully sold it. He brings the technical and entrepreneurial infrastructure upon which Procurio operates as a scalable service platform.
Together, they pursue a clear vision: conducting public tenders in a plannable, economical, and compliant manner – on a professional infrastructure that provides lasting relief for contracting authorities.
